General Information
- All events are subject to change if inclement weather is nearby.
- TUESDAY, Fair gates open at 10:00AM for general admission.
- All exhibits are open to the public from 10:00AM until 10:00PM on Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat.
- Rides and concessions by North American Amusements every afternoon and evening starting at 3:00PM on Wednesday and Thursday, Noon on Friday and 1:00PM on Saturday.
- All Main-Arena events are free with paid main gate admission and open to the public!

Fair Queen Information
2024 Fair Queen: Sarah Murillo
The Chelsea Fair Queen is crowned yearly on Friday night
and judged on a variety of different categories. The Queen
and her float can be seen every year in the Chelsea Fair
Parade. Catch the Fair Queen Program in the Multi-Purpose
Arena that is located on the south side of the fairgrounds.
The Queen and 1st Runner-Up win college scholarships
each year.
Awards are as follows: Queen, 1st Runner-Up,
2nd Runner-Up, 3rd Runner-Up, Miss Congeniality
and Talent Award.

Homemaker & Jr. Homemaker
of the
Year Information
This award will be given to the outstanding homemaker who is a Chelsea Community Fair exhibitor. To be eligible for consideration the contestant must comply with the following:
1. The exhibitor must be 18 years or older for Homemaker Champion, or 17 years and younger for Junior Homemaker Champion.
2. The exhibitor must register for this award with the Superintendents in the Home Economics departments in the Green Exhibits Building by 5 p.m. on Sunday prior to the Fair and must submit an entry form obtained from the Superintendent or the Fair office.
3. All exhibits must be made by the exhibitor and comply with the rules for exhibiting.
4.The contestant must enter at least FIVE of the following Departments:
Antiques, Canning, Quilting, Photography, Arts & Hobbies, Needlework, Floriculture, Food Preparation, Agriculture Exhibits, and Machine Sewing.
The winner will be determined by total points accumulated.
Four points will be awarded for each blue ribbon, three points for each red ribbon, two points for each white ribbon and two points for each champion rosette.
The contestant will also receive 2 points for each Grand Champion and Best of Show received. The winner is eligible to enter the State Homemaker Championship and compete for the Grand Champion Homemaker Award with other county winners.
5. The Junior Champion Homemaker contestant must enter items in at least FIVE of the following Departments: Antiques, Needlework, Canning, Photography, Arts & Hobbies, Quilting, Floriculture, Food Preparation, Agriculture Exhibits, and Machine Sewing.
6. The Champion Homemaker cannot be the same winner two years in a row, starting with the 1998 Fair.
7. Homemaker and Junior Homemaker winners will be contacted by the Superintendent. Award will be Presented during Ladies’ Day Program. The winner will be determined by the total points accumulated.

The forms are available electronically for download, but they will always be available in hard copy Sunday during the Hobby Barn (Green Barn) entry times. You only need one printed form per person entering the competition.

Kid's Day Information
The Tricycle Pull event takes place after the Children's’ Parade on Tuesday at the Multi-Purpose Arena. Children ages three to five years are welcome to participate. A ribbon and a ride ticket will be given to each child who participates. Tricycles will be furnished by the Sponsors.

The Chelsea Community Fair will host games for kids between the ages of 4 and 10 years on Tuesday night, right after The Children's’ Parade, at the Main Arena. Ribbons will be awarded for all 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners.
