Welcome to the Chelsea Community Fair

Our 2013, seventy-sixth Chelsea Community Fair will be the best one yet!  We have a little something for everyone! We have our ever popular demolition derby events and tractor pulls as well as a wide selection of livestock judging, crafts, exhibits and exhibitors, midway games and rides and so much more!

Returning Events for 2013

Ice Cream, Ice Cream, we all scream for Ice Cream. The Chelsea Fair will have it’s own Ice Cream truck, staffed by local non-profits. In return for their “scooping services,” the non-profits will receive a portion of the proceeds. The remainder of the proceeds will be donated to the “RED” or Rural Education Days project. Project RED is sponsored by Washtenaw County MSU Extension, Washtenaw County Farm Bureau and the Washtenaw Farm Council, with support and partnership from many agricultural organizations, agribusinesses and individuals. The purpose of this program is to educate third graders about agriculture and natural resources. The yummy ice cream truck will be located just outside the “Nature’s Creation of Life” Barn. It is the pet project of long-time Fair Board member, Earl Heller.

Lumberjack Enterprises will be performing Lumberjack shows daily as well as Chainsaw Carving and Interactive “camps” for the kids.

The Michigan Dynamometer Association will present a Draft Horse Pulling competition on Thursday morning this year.
